Meet Dr. Kristi Hustak

Born on an Apache Indian Reservation in Whiteriver, Arizona, Dr. Kristi Hustak witnessed her first surgery at the age of 14, sparking a lifelong passion for plastic surgery. She graduated magna cum laude with Distinction in Medical Technology from The Ohio State University in 2004 and earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2008. She subsequently relocated to Texas, where she embarked on a highly competitive, six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston.

As a member of the Kalon Aesthetics Clinical Advisory Board, Dr. Hustak brings her extensive expertise in cosmetic surgery and patient-centric care to help refine best practices and guide innovation across Kalon's supported clinics. Her commitment to patient education, safety, and technique refinement contributes to Kalon's mission of delivering exceptional, forward-thinking aesthetic services.

Personal Life & Philosophy

Dr. Hustak is a devoted wife to Dr. Erik Hustak, an academic anesthesiologist specializing in cancer pain management, and mother to three children. Having personally navigated the physical changes of motherhood, she empathizes deeply with her patients' experiences and concerns. Outside of medicine, Dr. Hustak enjoys crafting beaded jewelry using traditional Apache techniques, an extension of her artistic passion both in and out of the operating room. She also enjoys playing a variety of sports, including water skiing, soccer, softball, and volleyball.

Her patient-first approach, clinical excellence, and genuine empathy have made Dr. Hustak a leading figure in plastic surgery—one who balances surgical precision with compassionate care to restore both form and function for her patients.
